As a Project Facility Engineer, you ensure availability of project bounded equipment and facility services in and around the yacht under construction to support ongoing production processes.
You report to the Project Manager Production.

What will your main challenges be? 

  • Project Facility Services

Plan and organise all facility services on board of the yachts. Coordination of facility services linked to special activities such as load-in or load-out and sea trials. Plan and organise (large) internal transports in cooperation with LSP, Area Managers and Supervisors and maintain safe access routes to and from the yacht at the same time. Specify required facility services on board, materials and/or equipment, check for presence of framework agreements and, if there are no framework agreements in place, hand over to Project Buyer for purchasing. Discuss incoming offers in close cooperation with Project Buyer . Ensure that correct signaling is present at the building site and monitor correct handling of waste.

  • Management & Organisation

Plan, coordinate and discuss on a day-to-day basis project bounded services in and around the yacht provided by third parties. Instruct, arrange and assign work to third parties (e.g. logistic work, crane work) and monitor progress and quality of work and take appropriate corrective measures in case of deviations. Ensure and if necessary enforce compliance to Oceanco standards, procedures and guidelines. Organise and/or attend meetings with third parties. Monitor and maintain order and cleanliness in and around the yacht. The PMP initiates and de PFE works out corrective measures if and when necessary in close cooperation with Logistics and Paint Facility Manager. 

  • Support

Support the Facility Engineer whenever and wherever necessary based on agreed demarcation.

  • Reporting

Regular reporting to Project Manager Production about progress of work, deviations, (corrective) measures implemented, possible improvement of product and/or processes.
Register information according to procedures and guidelines. Control and approve invoices of third parties within given financial authority.

What do we ask for?

  • Higher Education in related area
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar scope within ship building industry
  • You recognise yourself in the following competences: Responsibility, Adaptability, Planning & Organising, Collaboration
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications
