As a Supervisor Machinery you advise about, prepare and monitor work execution (by co-makers, subcontractors and employees) compliant with quality standards, Oceanco standards and working methods to ensure (technical) quality and completeness of scope resulting in acceptance by the owner’s representative.
You report to the Project Manager Production.
What will your main challenges be?
Advise Project Development and Supply Chain Management with regard to work demarcation involving specific in dept technical Machinery knowledge. Check and approve Engineering package. Check availability and quality of incoming materials and equipment. Ensure timely and accurate information flow to all parties involved. Train and instruct third parties (co-makers and/or subcontractors) with regard to (technical) quality standards, Oceanco standards and working methods.
Monitor quality of work and ensure compliance with quality standards, Oceanco standards and working methods. Initiate and implement corrective measures when and where necessary. Act and be first point of contact for co-makers and subcontractors for technical issues during the realisation of the project. Solve upcoming (complex) technical problems. In case of major quality issues, consult Technical Expert or Technical Specialist for assistance.
Inspect (technical execution and completeness of scope) and accept (parts of) work delivered by co-makers and/or subcontractors. In case of disapproval, take corrective measures and monitor follow-up. Present, clarify and/or explain technical execution to owner’s representative to ensure acceptance. Attend meetings on a regular basis. Assist during Commissioning phase. Advise about possible product or process improvement.
Coordination of Machinery involving specific in dept technical knowledge.
Set up detailed planning, monitor quality of work and progress. Signal and solve upcoming (technical) deviations. Progress reporting to Project Manager Production.
Regular reporting to Project Manager Production about quality of work packages, delivery and acceptance/disapproval of work packages, possible improvement of product and/or processes.
