What will be your challenge?

As a HSSE Supervisor you are:

  • actively involved in our company and its health, safety, security and environment policy to ensure compliance, safety and security.
  • part of the Cluster QHSSE and reporting to the HSSE manager
  • working at our Zwijndrecht (construction) or Alblasserdam (outfit) facilities.
  • building a relationship with the project teams and contractor / co-makers to increase the overall safety culture within Oceanco according our S.A.I.L. to Safety program.
  • executing the HSSE policy in close cooperation with internal and external parties involved.
  • the first point of contact for the production organization and solve HSSE rel. ted matters
  • supervising the fire /safety guards dedicated to the project(s)
  • organizing / conducting toolbox meetings and workplace inspections with the project teams and contractors/co-makers and provide training when necessary.
  • providing guidance on specific high risk activities (routine end non-routine, hot work, working at height, confined space entry, load outs etc.), identifying and supporting the implementation of suitable controls.
  • Drafting, updating and after approval of responsible management, implementing HSSE procedures
  • Preventing environmental impact of our daily activities by monitoring the day-to-day processes of the organization
  • Guaranteeing client privacy and prevent loss of property of employees and clients
  • Be part of the BHV organization and ensuring that people are and stay qualified by timely training
  • Evaluating, facilitating and/or chairing risk assessment activities such as JSA’s on project level. Conducting and reporting incident investigations in cooperation with the HSSE manager
  • Ensuring up to date knowledge and understanding of the requirements of applicable legislation, standards and industry guidance and provide training on QHSSE related items

What do we ask for?

  • Minimum Secondary Safety Expert (MVK) or equal knowledge based on experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within a similar technical environment
  • You recognise yourself in the following competences: hands-on mentality, analytical ability, accurate, taking responsibility, kindling enthusiasm, conflict management, flexible, problem solver, passionate and proud team player
  • You dare to take responsibility when necessary and are able to handle stressful situations
  • Knowledge of MS office applications
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • Preferably knowledge of the Occupational Health standard ISO 45001
  • Preferably an Internal auditor qualification
  • Preferably in possession of First Aid (EHBO) and First response (BHV) certificate
